Is a tummy tuck the only choice?

A tummy tuck is one of the hardest and most painful surgeries that a person could endure.  The whole process is to cut out the excess skin and fat and trim the remaining skin as if it were a new suit. If you have ever cooked chicken and handled it raw you can see a small almost transparent membrane attaching the skin to the meat itself, this membrane is also present in humans and has to be cut out and ripped apart when the person decides to have a tummy tuck.

Furthermore, the tummy tuck implies and requires the surgeon to cut out nerve endings and vessels that will bleed and hurt as the healing process begins; naturally, the physician will provide the patient with ample narcotics, but even with the sedation that the narcotics will provide some discomfort or blatant pain will be endured.  Therefore, the person that is willing to undergo such an invasive and extensive surgery has to question him or herself and decide whether he or she will be strong enough to sustain the pain, endure the discomfort without going overboard with painkillers.

Of course, a tummy tuck procedure will not be necessary if the skin still has the basic elasticity to regain its place and composure, therefore, it might be best advised that before submitting yourself to such an invasive procedure to consult with a personal trainer and first attempt to reduce the skin as much as possible.  Once the maximum has been reached it will be time to consider a tummy tuck, if it is still necessary.
